About the Orchestra
Welcome to the D-Project Orchestra! Based in Delft, we are a dynamic new orchestra composed of talented musicians aged 18 and up, primarily drawn from university and conservatory students. Our mission is to achieve the highest level of musical excellence, and we’re on the lookout for passionate new members to join our ranks.
Upcoming Concert: Mindful Music In Concert
Our next major event, Mindful Music In Concert, will feature a stunning lineup of adagios for string orchestra. In celebration of World Freedom Day and the 200th anniversary of Anton Bruckner, we will highlight Bruckner’s extraordinary Adagio. Leading us through this special performance is our esteemed conductor, Marnix Willem Steffen.

Joining us
We’re seeking talented string musicians—violinists, violists, cellists, and double bassists—to join our orchestra. Given the high level of performance required, please carefully assess your qualifications before applying.
Age Requirement: 18–30 years
We look forward to welcoming dedicated and skilled musicians to our team!
Signing up
The D-Project Orchestra is composed of young, talented musicians (18+), primarily from Delft, including students from TU Delft and the conservatory. This project also features collaboration with Krashna Musica and Codarts.
We’re currently looking for enthusiastic string players eager to grow and perform on an international stage.

Rehearsals and Concerts MMIC

Rehearsal Dates:
- Saturday, October 26: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Open, Delft
- Sunday, October 27: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Schuilkerk Bagijnhof, Delft
- Saturday, November 2: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Open, Delft
Concerts:
- Sunday, November 3: Pre-rehearsal at 1:00 PM, Concert at 3:00 PM at Schuilkerk Bagijnhof, Delft
- Saturday, November 9: Pre-rehearsal at 5:00 PM, Concert at 8:15 PM at De Oude Kerk, Voorburg

Music scores and materials will be provided via URL link and email in PDF format prior to the project start.
Studying
We encourage you to practice at home using the provided recording references. This will help you adapt and prepare your sections effectively, allowing you to further develop your skills and ensure a high-quality performance.
We will build together
The orchestra leadership and the entire management are all excellent media specialists, and their expertise supports every project. The team members also have a professional music and artistic background, and know how projects should be managed. This includes music marketing aspects, social media knowledge, sound design, studio recording and mastering, orchestration, composition, stage technology, legal media knowledge and much more. You will literally emerge into a professional media branch, where you have a knowledge base that can support your goals as a performing musician.
